Une race qui avance

      Well developed cattle breed dedicated to meat production, Blondes d’Aquitaine keeps on developping since its set up in 1961. Today, the worldwide population is about 2 millions of heads. In France, there are about 543 150 cows in 2009 : 

• with 28% under recorded performances on farm 
• and 36 496 registrated cows in 1222 stud farms all over France. 

Coming from a crossbreeding of 3 local strains from the South West of France, the Garonnaise, Quercy and Pyrénéenne, specific assets of Blondes explain why the breed is so successful. Blondes d’Aquitaine make the difference as well on calving ease as meat production of superior quality. Its strengths guarantee added value for any people involved in meat industry : breeders, fatteners, meat processing units, and consumers.
